Think it depends on 'your area' Chris.
They do take place both at 'modern' Peckforton (often), and now and then across the way at Beeston.
There have been others in the North Wales area, though I can't bring them to min.

I remember seeing jousting at Belvoir castle (near Grantham) as a child. Had a quick check at their site and I see they still hold them now.

I highly recommend the jousting at Herstmonceux Castle. In this event the jousting is real and points are scored for "hits", breaking of lances, etc.

Many other "jousts" are staged and the riders slow down to tap each others shields. This can be disapointing. Herstmonceux is different. The jousing at Herstmonceux is very exciting and is part of a three day medieval festival that takes place every year over the August Bank Holiday Weekend.

All times are PT (US)
