"You are a Medieval Castle builder...300 serfs, 150 soldiers in residence, a household staff of about 50 people and approximately 200 family members."::babbles something incoherently:: Ahh..the wonders of World History. I find myself staring at a three page requirement sheet and gaping at the 6' x 6' minimum size and thirty or so different "portions" of the castle. Maybe someone out there has some great ideas? ::walks off muttering something about working on inch-long wall hangings::

David Macaulay's book CASTLE is a terrific resource for this project. Usually this book is in the juvenile section of the library, shows step-by-step construction of castle, allthe whys and wherefores in clear line drawings. Book's avail in PA and hardbound edits.
