I am teaching a unit on castles to my first graders. My students have built castles from blocks of wood, and now we need small figurines to put in the castles. These will be on display in a week, and I can not find any inexpensive, plastic medieval figures! Can any one help me?? What stores carry them? Is there a website that sells them/ Thanks! pat

I'm very suprised by your request. Here, in the UK, plastic knights are very common. This pleases my, 3 year old, nephew no end as he really enjoys these. However, as an alternative, find a book of medieval costume, get the children to draw pictures of people, reduce these picture to the right scale with a photocopier (or scanner) and print on thin card with tabs a the base so the figures stand up.

I've not seen any here in the US for years and I beleave they were made in England. You might try a book store that sells castle or D+D type board games or a really good toy store that will order for you.

All times are PT (US)
