I'm a Sophomore in high school, and I need to build a model castle for a project...I was wondering what the best material for building a model was besides paper, and the cheapest I've considered sugar cubes or paper mache, but i've also heard plaster of Paris was good, but with that you need molds, and it can be expensive... Also, does anyone know where I can get plans to build them out of the material? ------------------ Eating Babies-Don't knock it till you try it. |

Cheapest, easiest and most versatile would be cardboard. Most shops throw out(recycle) many cardboard boxes every day.Go to the 'Model making' forum for plans and ideas and the 'Floorplans' forum and 'photo album' for plans. You should not need plans specifically designed for your material. Just pick a plan you like and look up some pictures of the castle, then recreate it in cardboard as best you can. Have fun. Erik |

don't use sugar cubes...they attract ants and they r very messy....take my advice and use "sturdy board"...use an "exact-O-knife" to cut it....hope that helps") |
