One of my readers phoned last night regarding a book on German Castles, in English ?

I think it might be difficult to narrow it down if you are looking for a particular book. There must be quite a few out there, especially when including the ones aimed at tourists.

No specific book;
he just wants a general book on German Castles. If one is still available, at a half decent price, it may be of interest to others .. including me !

Here's one, I think it's in English(I don't have it).

Merten, KLaus. German Castles and Palaces. It's on Abebooks. Bit costly though.

It contains 53 of prettiest castles and palaces. Lots of pics.

I'll let you know if I happen upon others.

I have a book at home about castles in Sauerland (this is a part of Germany) and it's in Englisch. The name of the book is "Castles lookiing down from hills. Stately Homes dreaming in the valleys." This book is very good, almost every castle or stately home has an small text about history and contains a lot of pictures.
This book is written in 1992 and have an ISDN 3-402-06046-9.
Mayby you can find these book on internet. I don't now sure if you can find in the regural bookshop. Most of the books about German Castles I have are in German text.
