Just purchased;
Although published a few years ago (1986), and by Virginia Foss. The book is a delight.
Large format with almost 300 pages, all in colour.
Don't let the term 'Fort' put you off. As some of the sites have been fortified as far back as the 6th century.
Although I have seen pictures, read articles etc. on Indian forts, I have been amazed at the breadth and depth of the fortifications presented here.
