Okay, they're not books, but they're not really movies either (not if like me you think of movies as mainly fictional stuff). Anyway, here's a start of a list of video tour guides of various Scottish castles:

'Castles of Scotland' series, produced by Acorn Media for a Scottish Television series - originally in Gaelic (now in English too). My favourite (of course) as it includes Castle Levan!

Castles of Scotland - Glamis, Eilean Donan, Castle Levan, and Caerlaverock:

There are two other volumes in this series including:
Stirling, Fraser, and Fyvie
Edinburgh, Fort George, Kinloch, and Culzean.

Another series, this time with six volumes by Rel Records, 'The Castles of Scotland' provides coverage of:
Vol. 1 - Edinburgh / Stirling
Vol. 2 - Glamis / Craigievar
Vol. 3 - Culzean / Inverraray
Vol. 4 - Thirlestane / Fyvie
Vol. 5 - Dunrobin / Floors
Vol. 6 - Blair / Brodie

I'm sure I've got a video in English of the French walled city of Carcassonne and its castle too - I'll have to dig out the details!

Now it's down to you folks - do you know of any other castle video tours, either available on VHS, DVD, or even online?

Windsor Castle - Prince Andrew produced a video about it's restoration following the 1992 fire: "Windsor Restored":
