Price; mine was a pre-publication price with postage of £24. 50:
Only came yesterday, so just going through it. But no doubt the best book on fortifications to come out for many a year, dealing with a little known subject.
The book has a lot to do in just about 300 pages, touching on fortified religious buildings of Christendom, Islam and Tibetan Buddhism. Stunning pictures of well known and very little known sites, excellent plans etc.
And best of all ... yours truely had a picture accepted for the book.
I can only hope this is the start of more books on a long neglected subject. |

Accidentaly discovered the book today in the Hague and took it with me. it is a fascinating book which discusses european places likes cefalu, but also areas not very known for me, like transsylvania, the caucusus, ethiopia etcipflo | |
