Question: What castle in the area of the Czech Republic would have as guardians, the figures of bears?

See, in Castle Quest, Individual Castles section, queries & responses posted by rockinghorse, winipubare, vladimir, casinobub, and wes. Covers topic thoroughly.

Not in the right part of the world, but Traquair House (Scotland) and Warwick Castle (England) both have bears in their emblems.

If I have offended anyone, I apoligize. But Please do not insult my intellegence by curt answers. I really thought someone on this site would know the answer and would be willing to share. I guess I was wrong. In the contest, it didn't say anything about being an expert on castles. I thought I would inquire where there were experts. Evidently, I was wrong.

I was able to find the correct answer in about two days of my free time. But to confirm that the info posted by Marion/Vlad/Jeff/Kate/Ursa (all the same person, apparently) was false--that took weeks of research at the library & web. Not easy to find proof of something's non-existence.

To LIN: I have already been asked the same question, but I know it will be not correct to tell the people the right answer directly. I let them search and only gave them advice how to find next. I know many people spent a lot of time searching on the web to find out useful information. So, don`t worry. I promise I am not going to disclose the correct answer.

It's just a game! Don't get your panties in a wad, Ms. Trail. It took you HOW LONG to find the answer?!

This is a fantastic site for discovering interesting information on castles. It will only get better. However, if you are looking for the answer to THE GAME, you may have to look a little deeper now. The answer is encoded in one or more of the following ( I won't tell you which) messages. See: Vladimir, Kate, and Marion

To be honest with you, it only takes a few hours (or less, if you're lucky) to find it on the web. It is much harder to break the code.

Once you find the correct site, enjoy its beauty . The castle that you are looking for is splendid! Forget about the car. I know some people who have sent in literally thousands of entries due to an earllier glitch in the entry form (which has now been remedied).

Enjoy this site and the hunt

I found the answer by e-mailing some people in that area that I found by doing a search in ICQ. One very nice lady sent me some info and pictures that nailed it. I did have a lot of fun playing, but it was not easy since I knew very little of the area. I have to say it was very educational.
