Does anyone share a passion for the concept of medievalism in popular culture? I'm currently beginning research in this area, specialising in children's popular culture and especially the Arthurian tradition.

I live every day in the medieval world (in my head) and have written 4 books related to the Middle Ages (none published yet, alas)Please tell me more. It would be nice to have a chat with someone as medieval-mad as me.

Thanks for the reply. Without going into too much detail I'm writing a thesis on the use of medieval elements, especially Arthurian legends, in modern (last 10-20 years) film and fiction for children. I'm interested in what the functions and implications are for the use of the Middle Ages. I'm especially curious about how the medieval is used in a modern setting and what the author hopes to achieve. I'm hoping to use a lot of Australian work as well as works from other countries of course. As this is a very new area of scholarship I'm eager to hear from other interested people on the topic.
