I'm planning a birthday party for my (will be)5-year-old son and a 4-year-old girl. I want to build a castle front at the entrance of our back yard using cardboard. Any info or sujestions would be of great help. I am in a wheelchair but I hope to get some help with this project. My health is not the best so I want this birthday to be one my son will remember forever.Thanks for the help,

Hi Arthur,
another .. Phew !
one of the answers here is cardboard, from old boxs, containers.
And, one again, cheap can of paint (and emulsion paint not a gloss). With a brown card you don't have to be to fusy. Black paint for lines to show planking etc. And for that age you don't have to do a full size door (it aint for HUGE adults). Arrow slits can me cut out, or just painted black. Another large piece of card could act as, say the drawbridge, let down with string. Would have to fastened at the bottom some way. A piece of wood with a made up flag for the top.
Perhaps .. even a large piece of polystyrene (is that spelt right ?) sprayed a stonish colour, with a plastic sword stuck it.
Etc. etc.
Imagination even in us oldies aint gone, go for it. Young eyes will miss the flaws. If they don't, stick 'em the dungeon !!!!
