i note that the section on individual castles is by far the largest due to the number of responses, and the number of sites. since the majority of us seem to have fairly localised interest, why not subdivide by area? I suggest The U.K., europe and the Rest of the World. Perhaps even the U.K. could be sub-divided into the respective nations? Each area has it's own variety of castle, Scotland particularly (large portion of bias here!!) has it's own large share of mail and variation in design, distribution and historical perspective.

I personally like to read all posting to Castle Quest (even the genealogy ones!) so further division just means I'd have to swap around pages a bit more. However if there was a large increase in the number of postings I'd probably be more selective and this might be then make further subdivision less unappealing for me.Also some posting are about individual castles where the poster is unsure of the location. Such posting could end up being duplicated in several sections, and I find multiple postings irritating. Alternatively some posters make incorrect guesses about their castle's location and postings might be missed by people with comments to make (Such as the possible Enmore/Kenmore castle question). Also there are people who make the grave error of thinking England and the United Kingdom are the same - and linking the English with the Scottish. ------------------ Neurotics build castles in the air, psychotics live in them, Psychiatrists charge the rent, art therapists do the interior design and nurses clean out the garderobes!

A fair and reasonable point since I also read through all sections, and I agree(as would most Scots, since we can be sensitive about it) that there is often an element of confusion over the identities of our nations. I am also aware that filtering through the postings can become less tiresome if prefs are set only to show recent postings. However it is a simple enough to ignore repeat postings or switch pages, and still give valuable advice. I simply feel that the section is becoming rather large, and further division would be useful to everyone, particularily those with only an interest in one area, particularily new members who wish to filter through old postings. Subdivision would then encourage the submission of new points of view
