As a new(5Y) yet not so young (54Y) castle owner I am very much interested in contacts with other owners to find out how to overcome administrative hurdles (in France. I am also keen to exchange experiences of working with old materials and techniques. On my pages you can visit some of my later work in Epanvilliers, a Louis XIV castle in the southern Loire region (south of Poitiers in the departement of the Vienne). See me at: http://www.Geocities.com/bfrordorf
With kind greetings, Berchtold Frank Rordorf.

I am sorry to see that another person is suffering from the governmenr interfering. I am having permit problems due to current zoning of my land. The local authority believes I am building a commercial enterprise, not a residence and is wanting to charge me three times what I should pay... an ungodly amount... I am probably going to have to pursue this in court. Your improvements are lovely on your castle... press on my friend.. and always remember.. what THEY don't know won't hurt you.
