We upgraded the program that drives the Castle Quest bulletin board system. In addtion to sporting tighter code which should enable it to operate faster, better this version is also Y2K compatible.

Probably the most noticable difference you will see is that you can now choose a cute little message icon when you post. Also, you can now email a friend articles that yhey may be interested in.

As always, if you notice any problems, etc. please let us know. Thanks!

And very nice it is too. I for one am grateful for the work you've done on the update, a little uncertain when I switched on, though now I'm using it am enjoying it. Look forward to seeing the result of the 'little face' addition on school projects, should be worthwhile, and hope to see lots of mail going into the new Renovations Forum.
Good Luck

Love the little icons, but what on earth are they meant to mean. I get the bright idea light bulb, but I can't imagine there is much call far the 'my piles are killing me' icon. Unless we are discussing dealing with the red tape of moving a ruined pele tower to the states.

It would help if I could get the right icon. I'll move over to the small beer before the next posting.

However I tried to modify my profile to include my age, and as a result my signature has been changed to a meaningless "yes" and I am now a junior member - rather annoying when you've posted as often as I have! Please let me know when this glitch is sorted out so I can restore my signature which is carefully designed to allow people to assess the credit to be given to my responses.

Still think the title 'Junior Member' is a bit misleading and should be age related. I appreciate your point Philip that you find it a little disconcerting given how busy you've been, however you could always take it as a compliment!

Mutter, mutter? I suppose that could mean that you're a bit sensitive being a 'Senior Member', I mean I'll be a senior too now, and
I'm only 38. Not collecting my pension yet!

This just shows a lack of ambition to fully dedicate your life to castles. I've been drawing my pension since I was 33 years.

Have to fund the obsession somehow, and have been searching for a particular lost site since 8 years old. Mind you I manage to get some fishing done too!!
Anyway they won't give me a pension - or promotion, I'm apparently 'Damn good' at the job I have.
