Hi, my name is Mary and I am in charge of a group that has to construct a castle or cathedral for school and I was wondering what works for walls, portcullises, moats, etc. If you could, please recommend materials that are available in an average household or that are available at most craft shops. Thanks |

If you read some of the old mails in the this forum you might pick up some good ideas, and some good links to show what can be done. Some suggestions have included sugar cubes, lego, and cardboard. Set the browser to 'show all mails'. Here's a few bits of advice that Levan has posted before in this forum. http://www.castlesontheweb.com/quest/Forum15/HTML/000023.html http://www.castlesontheweb.com/quest/Forum15/HTML/000015.html http://www.castlesontheweb.com/quest/Forum15/HTML/000021.html http://www.castlesontheweb.com/quest/Forum15/HTML/000019.html http://www.castlesontheweb.com/quest/Forum15/HTML/000027.html

Mary, I used sugur cubes, lightbulb boxes, and spray paint for the walls of my castle that i had to build for school. I got a 10% on my project also. Others in my class used cereal boxes, wooden blocks, styrofoam, cereals, and posterboard. I hope this helps | |
