About 6 years ago in a Doll Collector magazine I saw pictures of a castle in which there was displayed Dolls that a "Lady" inhabitant of the castle had made that portrayed her life. One image that stands out is where she is carried in a cart amongst the peasants. Can anyone Help me identify the castle or Lady?

Is it a castle dollhouse you're speaking of? There's a very famous, huge (scale: 1 in=1 ft) castle doll house at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, very richly detailed (real gold chalice in the doll-castle's chapel, for example), created by silent film star Colleen Moore. To view the castle and tour it, go to www.msichicago.org/exhibit/fairy_castle/fchome.html

Thanks for the quick reply, unfortunately Colleen Moores castle isn't the one I'm looking for.The castle was located in Europe,I think either Germany/Poland/France.I seem to recall the name "Arndt" or a version of it was in her name or the town were she lived.I also seem to recall from the article, that she was quite a bit younger than her husband and set about creating this "Doll Village" along the walls of her castle for two reasons:1)she had a fascination of the peasants and there everyday lives and 2) it amused her.
