Is there a Castle or Estate by the name of Shenton! And is it still owned by a Shenton! If so where is it.We were told by my family there still is one in England.
( would appreciate any information)

Shenton .. is in the county of Leicestshire.
Smack in the middle of many famous sites, Leicester to the east, Coventry to the south, Tamworth & Lichfield to the north west, etc. The ruined castle at Hartshill lies not too far to the south-west.
If no one comes up with more details for you, I'll have a further look.

I see from the Ordnance Survey online map there is a Shenton Hall right next to the Bosworth Battle field in Leicestershire. I have no record of this ever being fortified.
As to it current status I haven't a clue but if you post an enquiry on the newsgroup free.uk.talk.leicester you might get some info.
