I am doing research on this castle. Who was it named after? Is it a smaller version of the one in Austria? Any other info or sites would be helpful.

The belvedere castle have been built in 1869 and designed in 1865 by Calvert Vaux and Jacob Wray Mould. It islocated in central park, Manhatan NYC. It was used by the New York Meteorological Observatory and the United States Weather Bureau. It is a reallynice place to see, I have in New-York and I really loved it.

There is a palace in Vienna called the Belvedere. I think it was built in the 19th century and its made out of stucco.
