There is a Buckhurst Park near Maidstone, Kent, which is literally just a park. However, I found the following item in "Castles in Sussex" by John Guy.
"Isfield Place, once owned by the Shurley family, belongs to a class of semi-fortified buildings, of which Ryman's Tower, Appledram; Buckhurst Tower, Withyham; Ratton in Willingdon; Cakeham Tower, West Wittering, and Laughton Place, are further examples.
They all date mostly from the 15th and 16th centuries, though considerably altered in later years, and are built predominantly of brick. They are country mansions, more akin to the later sham castles of the 18th and 19th centuries, than to castles proper, and include defences in their design as a token gesture."
