Does any know where I can find informaton about Chlumetz castle in Czechia (Chlumetz is the german name, in Czech it is probably Chlumec). It was a favourite residence of the Austrian Hungarian crownprince archduke Franz Ferdinand (the one assasinated in Saravejo in 1914). On the moment I can only find info about the (beautiful)Karlova Koruna Castle in Chlumec of the Kinsky family, but that isn't the castle were I am looking for. So if any one can help, it would be great.

I hope I have found your answer on the question. I think it must be the castle at Chlum u Trebone near the Austrian border. I have a text found in a book about Czeck castles with mentioned the name of Frans Ferdinand. I hope it's the castle. I will try to transleted the text for you in English.

on the history and the castle page of the website of chlum u trebone also stands the name of frans ferdinand, so that looks good

I can't read czech, but from the names I deduce that the castle first belonged to the Habsburg d'este famiily and later through heritage is gone to Frans Ferdinand, who took the name Habsburg d'Este
