There was a really famous battle in Poiters around 1356, when the English longbowmen defeated a huge number of french knights...

Then around 1372, the French managed to regain control of Poiters. How?

The Hundred Years War resumed when the French, with the help of a fleet from Castile, defeated the British off La Rochelle.

In 1375 the English and French signed the Truce of Bruges. This limited the British presence in France to Calia, Brest, Bordeaux and Bayonne.
