On A 303 in the middle of Chicklade which is between Wylye and Mere, there is an ancient little church and Rectory dateing from before the 17th century. Surrounded by woods in a most peaceful and quiet atmosphere, there you can walk or sit in the gardens that will help you to relax and enjoy your stay in THE OLD RECTORY which is now a 4 star Bed and Breakfast with a Resturant. The extremly good food is reason enough for a stop over. The rooms are large and georgian furnished with very much their own charm. Siturated near many Historic sites encluding Stonehinge it makes for a perfect place to set out from to explore. Owned and operated by a most gracious and kind hearted Lady, Vivian.
