Author Topic:   11 Century Norman Castles in Normandy Serion de Burci Member posted 02-27-2001 09:41 AM             I would like to see the floor plans and aerial view of an 11 Century Norman Castle. One that would have been inhabited by a wealthy baron, where to find, etc. Peter Member posted 03-07-2001 11:50 AM             I have tried to download a plan and few pictures from old postcards into the picture gallery for you. But no joy .. damn thing keeps telling me they already exist. Nowdays Normandy is split into 'Basse Normandie' and 'Haute Normandie'. The first is split into three departments, and the second two. I have mentioned this book before, which would contain all you need. Chateaux Forts et fortifications en France. But you would have to write to; Librairie Archeologique BP 10-F34530 Montagnac They do have mail-order bookshop, whence I got my copy. I think they now have a web site as well. I'll try and download those pic's again.
