Was it ever a CASTLE before it was deemed a manor?
If so can you give us a little more infomation like what country is it in or maybe its name?
This might help to get an answer to your quistion sooner.

From what I can gather, it is a Victorian manor house, though the manor (college ) web page internal links are not working, and the page with the ground floor plan is not on-line at the moment.

The house was built between 1832 and 1844 by Anthony Salvin followed by William Burn in 1838, for Mr Gregory Gregory (1786-1854).
I cannot find reference to an earlier building on site, though Mr Gregory had lived in an Elizabethan Manor in Grantham Village before the building of Harlaxton. It would appear therefore, that it is not a castle, nor even that it replaced one.
It certainly does not appear or any data base I have access to.
