Author Topic:   escape route ? gormac Member posted 12-02-2003 03:26 PM             hi there i have just purchased LAW CASTLE in west kilbride scotland and the locals tell me that there was an escape tunnel goes from the castle to about 150yds away from it. it would be good if anybody new about it thanks DH Galla Member posted 01-12-2004 02:30 PM             Many escape routes of that time were usually built to lead from a storage room of sorts (usually through a trap door) or even through a blind panel in one of the chambers for means of escape. Unfortunately, many castles have been changed throughout time and it may no longer be accessable. Look for anything that may have changed. Also blueprints may have been stored at a public information storage. I would check there. Best of luck..and congrats on the castle! Many such tunnels just collapsed on themselves due to bad construction. Many tunnels would now hold water if they existed. Try dowsing to find it. Not joking, have a bash at it yourself. I can assure you it does work. I nearly had a fit when I felt the rods move in my hands. Just used a couple of welding rods bent over. Since the ground contains a certain energy pattern of it's own, any disruption of sorts - such as a tunnel - would posses a different energy signature.
