i am looking for a set of building plans to build a castle that looks somewhat like cinderella's castle in disney world. i hope to use modern material readily available nationwide(not stone),probably concrete with some brick. i am looking at designing my own plans, but would prefer to use a proven design. also i am not a millionaire, just a regular guy that has built a few homes and wants my last one to be something special. any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Bob,
ops! you hit a bit of a raw nerve there I think, not our favourite item.
But it does take all types of building to make life interesting.
There is a site that does cover that type of thing ... I think!
www.castlemagic.com

Good luck with your build, though not my cuppa tea either.

merlin, i owe you an apology. a friend of mine says typing in caps is like yelling and i meant no offence, i am computer illiterate, and a poor typist to boot.peter, thanks for the lead, roger was of some help and willing to help further.i am just trying to take the henry ford / mother earth / new local building materials approach to castle building.i can not afford 1.5 million but think something acceptable could be built for the means of the average joe. thanks again

No problem, Bob. I wish you good luck with your project. Over here in Switzerland, you would have a very hard time to get any official allowance to build such a thing, but in the US that something completely different...

Greetings, Bob.

I'm new to the castle-building biz, but I've been interested in castles all my life. You can find more information on "Cinderella's Castle" by looking up information on Neuschwanstein castle, in Germany.

Here's a link you might find useful.
http://www.germanworld.com/neu.htm

It was this castle that Walt Disney took his inpsiration from when creating Cinderella's Castle.

Thought this tidbit might help.

Good luck!

Simon
