I have always wanted to build a castle of my own, and I wonder if any of you can answer a question for me. I hope to do most of the work myself, along with my dad and brothers... but it will take quite a long time to complete that way. I am new to this site, but I hope I can find some posts about creating secret passages and other great ideas as well!
Since it normally takes a huge amount of rocks to build a castle, I had an idea while eating lunch at an AQ Chicken here in Springdale. A car had hit a corner of the building, and to my surprise, they use styrofoam blocks covered in mesh and plaster to make it look like real blocks... That really caught my interest...
Does anyone know if there is a company out there that makes stryofoam blocks that would work to replicate castle walls, without all the weight and labor to build it?? It seems to me that stryofoam would, for one thing, be incredibly lightweight and cheap, but also have huge insulating qualities that stone would not have.
Thanks for your help!
