I am looking for information on Carnanton Castle. I believe it was in Cornwall. I especially would like to know the ownership line. Thank you.

I can't find a reference to Carnanton in either Cornwall or Devon. My records for medieval castles of these counties is fairly well complete (And is complete for castles with recorded history). I can only assume this is a post medieval castle, or that you have a spelling I haven't got (But this doesn't look to likely.) Sorry I can't help.

As with Phillip I could not find a match for your Carnanton Castle. The closest I could find in Cornwall was Cardinham Castle and Carminow Castle. If either of these could be your castle please feel free to write.

Carnanton HALL was the Family seat of the Brydge Willyams; it is at Mawgan near Newquay. I believe it is now occupied by the Young-Jamieson family.
