It's with great reluctance that I have to announce that I shall be selling Castle Levan, Gourock, Scotland UK.

As you know, castles we're deliberately designed to make access difficult. Alas, without making out-of-character alterations, this also makes it impossible for my now severely disabled mother-in-law to stay with us.

A heart-breaking decision, as purchasing the csatle was the fulfillment of a dream. Much as I love the place, even this can only take second place to my family.

Anyone interested should take a look at some of the pictures and plans on our website, which I dare-say could also be offered with the castle: http://www.castlelevan.com

Given the superb location, within the best scenery in the world, and the excellent condition and character of the building, I'm sure you won't be devoid of interest when it comes to the sale. Just don't mention the weather!

Weather?

Black clouds and rain - as if? I just consider it nature's way of emphasizing the magesty and drama of the Scottish hills. The fleeting glimses of sunshine simply kiss the clouds away as it shimmers on the surface of the burns and lochs.

Anyway, -today- it's glorious!

Very poetic, and yes it was a nice day. Why are you sitting at you're PC with that sunset outside?

Ah-ah. One of the benefits of Castle Levan is that I can enjoy the view from my office window and work at the same time.

When it gets really spectacular, I can easily nip out onto the ramparts and enjoy the view with a wee dram in hand ready to toast the sun as it 'salutes' for the night below the hills surrounding Holy Loch.

A wonderful image, which could only be improved by moving down to the waterside with a fishing rod!
