I am researching a number of castles / castle sites in Dumfries and Galloway, and the only information that I have about Auldgirth Castle is that its OS Map Reference is about NX 918852, and that it was a 14th / 15th century keep. Any takers ? |

It was also known as Low Auldgirth, and was a small tower house with vaulted basement. The ruin was removed in 1927.------------------
