Previously owned by Sir Nicholas Fairburn QC. MP. (died 1995), and later by a Mr. Bill Inglis (died 1999), does anyone know the names of the subsequent owner(s).------------------

No you won't. My site is dedicated to English and Welsh castles and Fife is not in either of these countries (Thank goodness  )------------------

Such a beautiful part of the country too, you really don't know what you're missing P.
Main problem is that it's full of RAF immigrants from some other part of the UK!!  ------------------

Did anyone find out any information on the recent sale of Fordell Castle? I have been to Fordell Castle several times visiting with the Ingles, the castle had been going through much rennovation. I did not have chance to see the completed work since Mr. Ingles past away and then it was sold. Does anyone have recent pictures? I'm willing to share photo's. Also, is there any history, books, literature, old drawings, maps, etc. on the fordell castle estate and the Henderson that once lived there. I look forward to any helful information. Yours Aye! I didn't find out the names of the new owners, but did manage to procure a copy of the sales particulars. |

I got my copy from Knight Frank International in Edinburgh, but this was back in August 1999. They may not have any copies left, unless of course the castle has been put up for sale again (and it may go through different agents).

Is there any more information on Fordell Castle In Fife, Scotland-? I know it has been bought again by Andrew Berry, is the castle still a private residenace or was there other intentions for it's use-? Also, were can I find the original land sketches/drawing/surveys of the building of the castle-? Who was the builder, etc. |

While somewhat vague, it is a start. I have must interest in Fordell Castle as (you probably noticed by now) you probably noticed by now, I am a decendent of the family of some of it's former owners. Let me know if there is anything I can do. I have yet to visit Scotland (as I am in the USA), but once I do, I hope to see Fordell Castle. I have just recieved my Oct 2007 issue of Scottish Fields ( I live in OZ )and see that Fordell Castle is up for sale again Frank Knight handling it - dont know if it has been sold yet as it is now Jan 1st 2008 - I will go to the Frank Knight site and find out -

Fordell castle sold for £3,850,000 in November, this was the fifth highest sum ever payed for a home in Scotland.
