I don't know anything about Cashel in Ireland. There is a Cashel on the banks of Loch Lomond in Scotland. It's the site of a stone-age fortification.
I'm guessing here, but does the Gaelic meaning of Cashel have any significance?

I don't know about the place on Loch Lomand and i'll try to get to it the next time i'm there abouts, but, i do know a little about the Irish site.
