Author Topic:   Ashkelon Thomas Member posted 06-01-2001 03:10 PM             This might be a bit of a longshot, but does anyone know anything about the city of Ashkelon. It has quite an amazing history. It is mentioned biblically and throughout time it has been certainly a place of contention. True, this may not be so much a castle as it is a city but the aspect which intrigues me is the wall and fortifications built to surround the city. If anyone has any info on historic population averages, maps, lifestyles .. anything, please let me know.
