You will find that a link has already been provided to a web page on this castle. Have you looked? Did you follow the link? If you can't find it use the search facility at the top of the page below the 'Post A Reply' button. I note that in your previous mail you imply that you already know a bit about this castle, so the wording of your question does not help us find you new information. If you were a little more specific with your question it might help us avoid giving you data you already have...which would be a waste of our efforts. We don't have the answers to all questions on all castles, we each have limited knowledge and particular areas of interest, but through helping out here we have some ability in helping you find data, if we know what to look for. ------------------ 'Demeure par la verite' Visit; Gordon's Scottish Castles Resource Page

Well, thank you for your blunt reply. I do appreciate the reply but please don't reply in the manner you did. I'm not illiterate in the issue of how to use a webpage. Yes, I did follow the link on the home web page and yes, it did help me some. I apologize if the wording of my question threw you off. I'm looking specifically for information on the inhabitants of Hunedoara. Not just the first ones but all of them. Mustang

If your search is for: "the inhabitants of Hunedoara. Not just the first ones but all of them." Then your in the wrong forum and you need to drop down to General Genealogy and do a search there. Remember: We moderaters are here by choice and are under no obligations of any sort to help or do some ones homework for them. Each member is expected to try and find the infomation them selfs if at all possible before posting. Then, if you still need a direction we will help out where we can.

However, if your request is to further your knowledge, rather than complete an assignment of homework, we try to assist where at all possible. As Gordon explained, the moderators here only have a limited amount of knowledge, and despite anything you might hear otherwise - we are only human !!! Good luck with your search. (for me - I had to look the name up on a search engine to find out where Hunedoara is. I've learnt something new today.) |

Well, I do understand the job of a moderator, and thank you for your response. I tried doing a wide range "net" if you will, to come up with basic inhabitant knowledge and I was told to make my search more detailed. I did and still came up with nothing!! This is my problem. Either the search engine I use really sucks (lol) or there's another problem. On a sidenote, I wanna say that this isn't for any assignment as I am not involved in any large projects right now, thank god!! It's more for my own personal interest in a wide subject that I've always thought was interesting!! However, you guys are right.....we are only human!!My apologies for sounding rude!! I know everyone knowledge only goes so far, I just wish to expand mine!! -Mustang- |

Then I will congratulte you on choosing such a fine topic to be interested in, and for being keen enough to look for the data yourself. Most folks who wish us to help out are not, and look for a quick fix from us. I will have a look for more data for you, but to be honest the Eastern European sites are linited regarding use of the English language, and are not well covered by translation engines. I'll spend a little time looking for you, but beware...I might be only as succesful as yourself.------------------ 'Demeure par la verite' Visit; Gordon's Scottish Castles Resource Page |

Often the history of the associated town, mirrors the history of the castle, go to http://www.primariahd.ro/english/historic/historic.htm The best I could get I'm afraid, the few other sites I found repeated the same data,or at least small parts of it.------------------ 'Demeure par la verite' Visit; Gordon's Scottish Castles Resource Page |

Beautiful!! Thanks lots. That does help but I'm still going to keep searching as much info as possible on this intriguing subject. This castle has a very dark history from what I've learned so far!! It's quite interesting and if you're looking for a new castle obsession, I highly recommend it!! Thank you so much gordon and duncan. Any information provided is greatly appreciated!! -Mustang-[This message has been edited by Mustang (edited 01-14-2002).] |
