Not only the name reminds me to a castle in Great Britain (Kassel = castle = castrum) – also the main tower looks like a real keep. During the castle’s time, it seems to have been inhabited.Cannot say how often we climbed the tower when we were children … my grand parents lived near by.
To my dissapointment I had to learn the significant tower is a 19th century restoration.
