Author Topic:   blühnbach ipflo Moderator posted 03-05-2002 06:40 AM             does any one know where i could find info on blühnbach castle in salzburg (the 'land', not the city). i self couldn't find anywhere pictures or so or anything on the history. katharina Member posted 03-05-2002 09:52 AM             The castle Blühnbach is situated near the town Werfen, in Sulzau part of the town. It was build in 1603-1607 by the Archbishop Wolf Dietrich. Than it was used by the Archduke Franz Ferdinant as a hunting castle during 1908-1914. Now it is a property of the family Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach. The most famous member of this family, the industrialist Gustav Krupp, had lived and dyed here. I haven't found any pictures on the Web.
