Author Topic:   marostica don fisk Member posted 09-12-2002 01:24 PM             In the little Italian town of Marostica is the remains of a castle on a hill overlooking the town. Each Sept. of even years a living chess tournament is held day and night to commemorate a legend. I don't know the specxific dates. I have been there, but not during a tournament. The pictures proved it would be interesting, since the chess pieces are all human and dressed in medieval clothing. It is located about 25 km N. of Vicenza, which is about 50 m. w. of Venice.
