I have a report coming up on this castle and can't find any information for it. Can someone help me out, thank you.

A rare exemple of 14th century architecture amongst Loire castle, it marks the end of the middle ages and the beginning of the Renaissance. During the 16th century, major fortifications were added, Saumur being a protestant stronghold with its own academy. Saumur castle houses magnificent collections of decorative arts and objects connected with horses and riding.
Henry VIII's Richmond Palace was reputed to be based on Saumur Castle.

Yeah I found the pictures, I just need the history. I think my teacher has set me a difficult task to say the least. Honestly, I haven't found anything to start writing my paper. Thanks for your quick reply
