Castle is 900 yrs old and has been used in dozens of movie and TV roles( may have been used in the movie "El Cid." Many dramatic episodes here: nobleman helped to enforce Magna Carta; another one is a literacy character slain in battle. Another renounced his love for a courtier who lost her head as queen ( possibly Anne Bolyn). It is possible to rent one of the halls in the castle for a party. Do you know it?
