Author Topic:   Saint Clair Castle walterkro Member posted 01-03-2004 06:56 PM             I am seeking information about a French casle called Saint Claire (or Saint Clare), which may be located near Normandy. I believe it was early last century the home of the Marquis Meranville de Saint Claire. Does anybody have knowledge of either the castle or the marquis. Thankyou. The castle was originally built by William Rufus for defence against the French. Sorry,thats all I know. ------------------
