Topic: Can anyone help me ID a castle in Germany?

I'm trying (desperately) to find the name and location of a castle in a slide my former husband took in the late 70's. We were stationed in Berlin from '75-'80, and travelled throughout West Germany. I believe it must be from somewhere south of a line from Trier to the Harz Mountains (I know, a lot of territory), due to the terrain, stepped and ornamented gable, and the gothic style windows. I can't tell from the photo whether there's glass iin the windows, but I sort of think there may be. I've checked every castle website, including the German language sites, that I could find in the past two weeks, and have found nothing. I even thought it might be a view of the approach to Eltz Castle, but have decided probably not. I would be glad to send the photo by email, or post it to this site, if someone can tell me how and where to send it. I'm anxious to find out, as I'm trying to download all of my old European photos to disk, as a Christmas present to my former husband and step-daughter. I'd appreciate any help you can provide. |
