I recently found the name of a castle in Turkey that I visited in May 2006. It was at the Black Sea end of the Bosphorus, at the end of the ferry from Istanbul above the town of Anadola Karagi. It is a/the "Genoese" Castle from the 14th Century and called a Byzantine Fortress.

I found this information this week in a Turkey guidebook in Vancouver B.C.

There were some crusader motifs embedded in the walls.

I am trying to find out any history I can on the castle. Anyone know anything about it?

All times are PT (US)
