You must have caught me on a good day.
No, I think we all enjoy questions that are an interesting challenge, that can be answered without spending hours on research. Some do of course get repeated over the course of a year.
We all have limited time, so the main aim is to point people in the right direction. Rather than do someones reasearch for them. Which of course we can't.
Here at Rose Cottage I have my own little veg plot, on which I sometimes try out of favour veg.
Khol Rabbi grows well on our clay; Jers. Artichokes I have given up on. Though Globe Artichokes I grow ever year. This year it has been an old round French carrot, cross that one off the list.
Also in this year is Salsify. Which is sometimes called the 'Oyster Plant', because of its glutinous feel and taste.
End of lecture!

sounds fascinating. I only have a cemented over courtyard so everything is in tubs, but I do have a mint, a curry plant and a lavender out there.

Yes, being pointed in the right direction is the best help of all, we need to do our own research to get it right and let it sink in.

the drawing of Fotheringay castle is great, thanks very much.
