My first two suggestions are to check your spelling and manage your time better. (lol, just fooling around)

A good book from your library might help, but you seem to be pressed for time...
castles were originallt more like stockade forts. The first form was called a "motte and bailey" castle and it comsisted of a hill with a protective stockade around it( the motte), near a small settlement at the bottom the hill that was also walled. A ditch (moat)was dug around the whole thing.
The first stone castles began to appear during the 12th century (1100s) I could write a book about all their features, but i'll leave that particular task for you to research. As cannons began to be used more during the late 15th century (1400s) to the 16th century and europe shifted to a more mercantile economy, AND the nobility began to desire more comfortable homes, the use of castles declined and they began to be abandoned.

hope this helps

All times are PT (US)
