I've stayed here - very spooky and most haunted! Owned by the Grey family for over 700 years, the basic plan has changed little since the fourteenth century. What is now the Italian garden was once the tiltyard - I wish it was still! Apparently when renovating the castle the workmen broke into a sealed room to find a perfectly preserved body of a man which then disintegrated before their eyes! There's more where that came from if you want to ask me specifics. I've got books and stuff downstairs but I'm a bit bit jaded now. Hope that was some help anyway.
