Hi my name is Elizabeth im 16 and im doing a project on castles and how to build them. I have to have a two page paper describing the way you would build a minature castle as big as a school desk top would be It also has to have a draw bridge, moat, gate house, watch towers (at least two)crenels (at least ten) windows with iron grating, and portcullis. any ifo would be very helpful with this project thanks Elizabeth.

I'd start with a floorplan. To fulfil the project requirement I'd use Bodium Castle in Sussex. You can find a plan on my site at http://www.castlesontheweb.com/members/philipdavis/Plans/album/pages/bodium_gif.htm . Download this plan onto your computer take the floor plan and enlarge it to the size you want and then print it out (probably over several sheets of paper) enlarge the sections to the same scale and print these out also. Now using thin card to for the round towers and for fine work and thick card, or expanded polystyrene, for thick walls and to add strength build up the castle from the plan.
