What did the weapons look like which were used to attack castles?

There are some links in the school projects introduction under siege warfare.

There are also a larger number of links given by Levan in an answer to a recent inquiry about trebuchets (see http://www.castlesontheweb.com/quest/Forum12/HTML/000189.html ) Some of these are quite detailed and some are in french so I'd start with the links in the Intro first.

Rachel, some weapons looked like giant axes, BIG crossbows, and catapults.

that's a good one!
Catapults and similar devices looked more like huge spoons on a carriage then like a giant axe.

All times are PT (US)
