what was used to defeat castles? and who were some of the "famous" medieval figures of royalty who lived in castles during medieval times?
pleaseeeeeeeeee someone tell me, this is due tomorrow i waited to the last minute like a dummy and now im stuck, and in high school its way easy to fail. plaes these are the last questions i need answered. please. erica

Your first question, "what was used to defeat castles" is answered in previous posts to this forum. Read through the appropriate ones and you can get plenty of info you need. The second question about famous people in catles. The answer is all medieval royals lived in castles. Pick any one you can find some info on.

I'd go for Robert the Bruce of Scotland (1306 - 1329) - there's lots of information about him.
Another good one would be Edward I "Longshanks" (1272-1307) of England who not only lived in a castle, but also pioneered the building of lots of castles (in an attempt to supress the Scots and Welsh, and no doubt the English too).
