I am doing a project and need to know where the population of a town would stay in a castle and how big the castle should be if the town was under siege. The population is 300 serfs, 150 soldiers, a household staff of 50 people and 20 family members. any help at all would be appreciated, preferably ASAP. Thanks! |

Hmm, that would need a pretty big castle. It would be more logical and realistic that the medieval town would be fortified itself with a townwall and some towers. |

I don't really know but when putting people up temporarily, they slept in the Great Hall. ------------------ |
