Part Iabout a hundred years ago there was a man who lived in New York city. this man had a wife and loved her dearly. he was also a rich man whom made his money in stocks. his love for his wife was extrodinary; so much in fact that he decided to build her a castle of her own. unfortunatly, the beauty of this story ends here, and the dream turns into a nightmare. the man bought about 500 acers in southern california in an area know now as the antelope valley. in this area lives many indian tribes. the building of his castle forced the indians to leave and they put a curse on the land. (if you wish me to go into detail of this curse, please e-mail me) the man had stone moved hundreds of miles to this area so the castle could be built. at this time the stones had to be moved by covered wagon. it took several years to build it and when finished, he called for his wife in new york to come and reside there with him. but on the way out, she fell ill and perished, never to see her love again. the manlived in the castle for several years until 1929 when black thrusday came and the fall of the stock market reduced his income into the negative. the man now poor and alone, went to the coast where he walked of the pier in santa monica and dround in the pacific ocean. next week, if you would like, i will continue this true story, please e-mail me if you would like so. I also have a pic of the castle.

Hi Puck, sounds interesting & sad. for me I'm sure a picture in the photo-archive would be most interesting. But perhaps it might be better to place any more detail down in the Solar. Where we can all have a chat about it if we want. | |
